Helen Clayton Williamson, 89, of Douglas Ave. died Monday, June 2, 1997, in Autumn Care Nursing Home.

She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John T. Clayton and the widow of the Rev. T. Paige Williamson.

She is survived by a daughter, Helen Paige Wimmer of Thomasville, N.C., and her husband, the Rev. Mark Wimmer; sister, Miss Louise Clayton of Portsmouth; and three grandsons, Leon, Robert and Grier Wimmer; and five great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church, the Brooks, Crowder Wesley class and the United Methodist Women.

A funeral will be conducted at Broad Street United Methodist Church Thursday at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Kathy Pigg, the Rev. Mark Wimmer and the Rev. Milford Rollins with burial in Olive Branch Cemetery. Loving Funeral Home is in charge. The family will receive friends at the church at 2 p.m.
