Carolyn Ransom, 52, of the 100 block of Armstrong St., died June 6, 1997, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
She was a retired, self-employed caregiver and foster parent. Born in Norfolk, she was a member of Calvary Revival Church, Norfolk, the adult choir and was a prayer counselor.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence Ransom of Newport News; two daughters, Mrs. Demetrice Parker, Miss Lashaunda Ransom of Portsmouth; a son, Charles Holloway of Norfolk; sisters, Mrs. Brenda Holloway of Chesapeake, Mrs. Leah Parker of Kilmarnock, Va.; brothers, Mr. Isaac Holloway of Virginia Beach, Mr. Charles Copeland; eight grandchildren; and host of nephews, nieces and special friends including Mrs. Ella Mills, Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Parker, Miss Juanita Bell, Miss Vera Willie and Ms. Gloria Ford.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Calvary Revival Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. Mason. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Family and friends will assemble at Chatman Funeral Home, Norfolk, at 11 a.m. for the procession. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
