NORFOLK

Just after midnight on Friday, June 13, some people forced their way through the front door of a home in the 3900 block of Davis St. The intruders forced everyone to lie on the floor.

The intruders began searching the home and assaulted one victim, who later required several stitches.

Six suspects, all male, are being sought. At least two had handguns.

The lookout was described as black and about 30. The other five were between 17 and 19. Three were black, one was white, and the other was Hispanic.

All were between 5 feet 6 and 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighed 130 to 180 pounds.

The white male had a shaved head and blue eyes. The Hispanic had black hair and a goatee, and was wearing baggy shorts.

Sherita Hairston, 19, is wanted for failure to appear on an assault charge.

Hairston, who is also known as ``Lil' Mama,'' is from the Roberts Village area.

Gregory A. Barnes, 22, is wanted for violation of probation and questioning in another investigation.

Barnes is from the 800 block of C Ave.

Chesapeake

Sometime on May 27 or 28, someone took a hot tub from the parking lot of a pool and spa business in the 300 block of Johnstown Road.

The tub is white with redwood trim. It weighs 525 pounds and holds 365 gallons of water. It would require at least four people to lift it into a truck.

Portsmouth

On June 14, at 4:13 a.m., a police officer was making a routine traffic stop at Turnpike Road and Wilson Parkway when someone shot at her.

She reported seeing three men step from around an apartment building. Two raised their hands and she saw several muzzle flashes and heard several shots aimed at her.

The men then ran toward the first block of Wilson Parkway and disappeared. Assisting officers arrived a short time later but could not find the gunmen.

The officer was not hurt.
