Shepard Elton Wise, 59, of the 2900 block of Venus St., Eastern Park, died Sunday, June 22, 1997, in his residence.
He was a native of Princess Anne County and was the beloved husband of Barbara Ann Ginn Wise. Since 1975, he was a foreman with Chesapeake Bay Contractors. He was a member of Scott Memorial United Methodist Church.
In addition to his beloved wife, Barbara, he is survived by a son, Shepard Lawrence Wise of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Ethel Denton of Cumberland County, Va., Willie Wagner of Selinsgrove, Pa., and Bertha Dougherty of Newark, Ohio; and four brothers, Joe Wise of Virginia Beach, John K. Wise and Robert F. Wise, both of Cumberland County, and William M. Wise of Virginia Beach.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Nimmo United Methodist Church Cemetery, General Booth Blvd. and Princess Anne Road, by the Rev. Manning B. Harrell. The family will receive friends in Maestas Funeral Home, Baltic Ave. Chapel, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
