LUCILLE A. LOWE

Lucille Allen Lowe, 76, of King George Quay died June 21, 1997, in Chesapeake General Hospital.

She was a retired domestic worker and a native of Wake County, Raleigh, N.C. She served on the deaconess board and Strivers Club at Bethel Baptist Church. She was a member of the New Light Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Gina Smith of Washington, D.C., the Rev. Amy Lowe and Claudine Gray, both of Chesapeake; two sons, William Holley of Bronx, N.Y., and Harvey Allen of Norfolk; daughter-in-law, Delores Allen and a son-in-law, Robert Smith of Washington, D.C.; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two adopted daughters, Yvette Pierce of Chesapeake and Anne Barnes of Vienna, Va.

She was predeceased by her mother, Laura Chambers; daughter, Sandra Lowe Fornville; and two sons, Ronald and James Lowe.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday, June 25, at New Light Baptist Church, 5549 E. Indian River Road, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Dr. Rudolph B. Lewis Sr. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk. The Wake Service will be held Wednesday from 11 a.m. to noon. The family and friends will assemble in the residence at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
