Clifford C. ``Buddy'' Whitehorne Jr., 46, died June 20, 1997, at his home.

Mr. Whitehorne was born Oct. 29, 1951, in Norfolk, the son of the late Clifford C. Sr. and Vera Cook Whitehorne. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He was a truck driver.

Surviving are a daughter, Christina Marie Whitehorne of Arizona; three sisters, Judith Whitehorne Hamlett of Portsmouth, Rebecca Whitehorne Napper of Houston and Patricia Whitehorne Wood of Skiatook, Okla.

The family will receive friends in Altmeyer Funeral Home, Virginia Beach, on Wednesday from 6 p.m. until the service at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Warren Chapman officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 9 p.m. Interment will be private. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
