NEW COMMANDER TAKES OVER IN CEREMONY AT FORT STORY

In a change-of-command ceremony at Fort Story Monday, right, the

incoming commander, Lt. Col. Ronald A. Newton, left, salutes the

passing color guard. With Newton are Maj. Gen. Daniel G. Brown,

commander of the U.S. Army Transportation Center, center, and Lt.

Col. Fred C. Barrell III, the outgoing commander of Fort Story.

Above, Barrell says goodbye to retired Air Force Lt. Gen. John N.

Parker after the ceremony. Newton, who was born in Screven, Ga.,

July 24, 1952, holds a bachelor of arts in business administration

from Methodist College in Fayetteville, N.C., and a master's degree

in military arts and science from the U.S. Army Command and General

Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kan.
