MARY L. PYLE

Mary Lenoir Pyle, 81, of the 500 block Englewood Drive, died July 5, 1997, in Sentara Leigh Hospital.

A native of Simons Creek, N.C., she was the widower of James E. Pyle and a Christian. Mrs. Pyle was a retired homemaker and had resided in Virginia Beach for 62 years.

She is survived by her daughters, Jacque C. Butt and husband, James H. of Chesapeake, Sally A. Moomjian and husband, Robert A. of Virginia Beach and Fairfax, Va.; a son, W. Donnie Carson Jr. of Virginia Beach; a sister, Nettie Cartwright of Camden, N.C.; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held at noon Monday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. today. The family requests that donations be made to Kempsville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad, P.O.
