Maurice Arrington Lamb Jr., 66, of the 4000 block of Griffin St., died July 1, 1997, in a Hampton hospital.
A native of Portsmouth, he retired from the U.S. Air Force and also the design department of the G.E. Plant in Waynesboro, Va. He was a past member of Portsmouth Elks (NU)82 and Portsmouth Moose Lodge (NU)898.
Survivors include his aunt, Alease Putnam of Portsmouth; lifelong companion, Ginny Gilbert of Portsmouth; and a longtime friend, Ray West.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pritchard's Marina, next to the Flagship Restaurant, 103 Constitution Ave., Portsmouth, by Mr. Ray West. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling arrangements.
