Horace Woodrow Overman Jr., 51, of Kings Tower Road died July 1, 1997, in Riverside Hospital. A native of Gates County, N.C., he was a member of the Southside Baptist Church. He was retired from Barr Construction.
Surviving are a daughter, Amy Elizabeth Overman of Newport News; son, Keith Warren Overman of Newport News; his parents, Horace W. Overman and Joyce Stallings Overman of Hobbsville; two sisters, Ann O. Ralph and Carolyn O. Antis, both of Suffolk.
A graveside service will be today at 4 p.m. at Sandy Cross Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Vern Gilmer. Harrell Funeral Home, Gatesville, N.C., is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
