Robert Spillman Miller, 83, of the 200 block of Dune St. died Thursday, July 10, 1997, in a Chesapeake nursing home.

Mr. Miller was born in Norfolk and was the son of the late Oscar and Mary Dozier Miller. He had retired from the Norfolk and Western Railroad after 30 years of service and was a member of Park Place Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Gladys Iola Fouke Miller of Norfolk; his daughter, Carol Ann Hilton of Chesapeake; his sister, Virginia Post of Norfolk; and two grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk. Dr. Paul Watlington and the Rev. David Shelton will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
