Larry H. King, 56, of the 900 block of Oak Forest Court died July 13, 1997, in Richmond.
A native of Jackson, Tenn., he was a long-distance truck driver for ARL Inc., and was preceded in death by his loving wife of 26 years, Bonita King. He was also a member of Kempsville Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, and Tidewater Streeters. He was an avid pool player.
Survivors include his daughter, Dawn M., and her husband, George P. Budetich Jr. of Virginia Beach; mother, Artie P. Merritt of Virginia Beach; stepfather, Wiley J. Merritt; sister, Brenda Joyce King of Virginia Beach; brother, Stephen G. Merritt of Virginia Beach; three grandsons, Shea R. King, Dominick L. Pearson and George P. Budetich III, all of Virginia Beach; mother-in-law, Velma V. Dwyer of Virginia Beach; and other loving relatives.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family will be at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, Virginia Beach, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
