NATALIE B. ARNOUX

Natalie Adeline Brigham Arnoux, 91, of the Ballentine Home on Granby Street, died Tuesday, July 15, 1997, in the Lafayette Villa.

Natalie Arnoux was born in Webster Groves, Mo., on Sept. 24, 1905. She was married to the late Given Campbell Arnoux and was preceded in death by her daughter, Suzanne A. Peffer.

Mrs. Arnoux was a violinist and received her training at the Marquette University School of Music in Milwaukee, and from private teachers. She played in the violin section of the Norfolk Symphony Orchestra for 20 years, under both Henry Coles Whitehead and Edgar Schenkman. She was a former board member of the Woman's Auxiliary to Norfolk Symphony and Choral Association. She was a member of the Algonquin Garden Club, Mayflower Society, Colonial Dames, and Alden Kindred of America. She served on the board of the Hermitage Museum.

Mrs. Arnoux is survived by her son, Patrick Campbell Arnoux, and two granddaughters, Amy Arnoux Barker, and Given Campbell Arnoux.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, July 18, 1997, at First Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Timothy Roberts. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The First Presbyterian Church Music Academy, 820 Colonial Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23507. H.D.
