Ruth Ellen Tilley, 78, died July 16, 1997, in Maryview Nursing Home.
Mrs. Tilley was born in Wrights, W.Va. She was the daughter of the late Sol and Dove Lampkins.
Survivors include her husband, Eddie E. Tilley; two sons, Paul Ray Tilley of Suffolk, Templeton ``Sonny'' Tilley of Chesapeake; three daughters, Peggy Ann Walters of Chesapeake, Rosleen Dove Fly of Portsmouth and Shirley Tilley Cummings of Portsmouth; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will be at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Friday from 7:30 to 9 p.m. and other times at 2512 Deerfield Crescent, Chesapeake (Taylorwood). KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
