Dorothy Evelyn Maloney, 77, of the 1700 block of Skyline Drive died July 15, 1997, in a local hospital.
A native of Norfolk, she was the widow of James Daniel Maloney. She was a member of Norview Baptist Church and a volunteer worker at the SPCA and was an animal lover.
She was the beloved mother of Dorothy J. Clark of Norfolk and Millard D. Maloney of Raleigh, N.C. Also surviving are four sisters, Freda Schragle, Alma Lewis and Joyce Cook, all of Norfolk, and Lois Kersey of Quimby, Va.; brother, George B. Flowers of Torrance, Calif.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. J.D. Norris. The family will receive friends in the daughter Dorothy Clark's, residence, 1701 Skyline Drive, off East Little Creek Road, in Larrymore Lawns, following the graveside service.
