Mildred Jackson Arthur, 86, retired postmistress of the Driver Post Office, died July 15, 1997, in her home.
A native of Beaufort County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Sam Tim and Maryetta Simpson Jackson. Mrs. Arthur was a member of Glebe Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her husband, Cecil Talmage Arthur; sister, Garchia Carroll of Garner, N.C.
A graveside funeral will be conducted today at 3 p.m. today in Holly Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. J. Robert Bennett. The family will receive friends in the home, 4216 Driver Lane. Memorial donations may be made to the Jackson-Feild Homes, 546 Walnut Grove Drive, Jarratt, Va. 23867-9989. R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
