IDA M. JORDAN

Ida M. Jordan, 98, of the 200 block of E. 39th St., died Wednesday, July 23, 1997, in Chesapeake.

A resident of the Riverview section of Norfolk, she was a Camden County, N.C., native and the widow of Hubert C. Jordan. She was a retired treasurer at R.F. Trant Distributors with 40 years of service. She was a member of Park Place Baptist Church and Soroptimist International of Norfolk, Norfolk Business and Professional Women's Club, and Order of the Eastern Star Virginia Chapter No. 22.

Survivors include sister, Lola S. Abernathy of Charlotte, N.C.; niece, Evelyne C. Sherbondy of Virginia Beach.

A graveside funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Dr. Paul B. Watlington Jr. The family suggests memorial donations be made to Park Place Baptist Church. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
