Ruth L. Stannard Wiedmaier Bates, 85, died July 27, 1997.
She was the daughter of the late Leslie and Emma Hayward Stannard.
Survivors include her husband, William Crawford Bates of Ithaca; daughter, Shirley Grant and her husband, Alan, of Interlaken, N.Y.; and son, Dale Wiedmaier and his wife, Nancy, of Chesapeake; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1, at Herson Funeral Home, Ithaca. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
