PEGGY M. WOMBLE

Peggy Moore Womble, 71, of the 5100 block of Cypress Point Circle, died July 27, 1997, in her home.

Mrs. Womble was a native of Paducah, Ky. She was the widow of Walter Gray Womble Jr. and was also preceded in death by her son, Walter Gray Womble III.

Mrs. Womble was a graduate of Longwood College in Farmville, Va., where she was a member of Alpha Sigma Tau sorority. She was a charter member of Princess Anne Plaza Baptist Church and a current member of London Bridge Baptist Church in Virginia Beach.

Survivors include a daughter, Jane W. Hollenback, and her husband, Danny, of Manassas, Va.; two sons, E. Wayne Womble and his wife, Kirby, and M. Shannon Womble and his wife, Denise, all of Virginia Beach; a brother, William Parker of S.C.; a sister, Nancy Beronda of Florida; and nine grandchildren.

A chapel service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 31, at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Tommy Taylor. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
