Janice Butler Livesay, 86, died Saturday Aug. 2, 1997, at Winslow Memorial Home.
A native of Suffolk, she was born July 29, 1911, and had lived in Elizabeth City since 1941. She was predeceased in death by her husband, Milton L. Livesay; her parents, James Carlton Butler Sr. and Mamie Bradshaw Butler; her brother, James Carlton Butler Jr.; her sisters, Dorothea Butler Faison and Kathleen Butler Waddy.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Livesay Hughey of Burlington, N.C., and a granddaughter and great-grandson.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the home of Mrs. Livesay's nephew, Dorsey O. Hawkins, 108 Miller Lane (Rebellion Point-Weeksville), Elizabeth City. A visitation will also be Monday in R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home, Suffolk, from 1 to 1:45 p.m. followed by a graveside service in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. T. Floyd Irby Jr.
