Katie Crane, 10, and her sister, Heather, 12, of Gunn Court, know the value of advertising. They put up five signs to alert motorists to their lemonade stand in the 300 block of Thole St. for the past several weeks.
The signs, arranged in series like the Burma Shave signs of yore, read:
``If you're thirsty'' . . .
``hot and dry'' . . .
``here's a drink'' . . .
``you should try'' . . .
``Lemonade 25 cents.''
Katie's twin, Melody, sisters Amy, 8, and Sara, 5, and brother Jeremiah, 6, have also been taking turns at the stand.
Heather and Amy report that business has been good. At times, the young entrepreneurs have had a crowd waiting to be served. ILLUSTRATION: Photos by DAWSON MILLS
