WILBUR W. THEISS

Wilbur William Theiss, 86, died Aug. 4, 1997, in a local hospital.

Born in Wabay, S.D., and the widower of Versa Solomon Theiss, he retired as a petty officer first class from the U.S. Navy after 28 years of service. He was a member of Fleet Reserve Association, a U.S. Naval veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam, and a member of Vietnam Veterans Association. Mr. Theiss was also a member of the Lone Sailor Club and a plank owner.

Survivors include six sisters; a brother; and special friends, Georgia and Sam Sifers of Virginia Beach.

A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by the Rev. Paul D. Moore. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society for Cancer Research. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
