Raymond Lee Scarberry, 56, died Wednesday Aug. 7, 1997, in Thomas Memorial Hospital after a short illness. He was a butcher at the Charleston Fas Chek Supermarket. He was a lifelong resident of South Charleston.
Survivors include his wife, Emogene Scarberry; sons, Ray Lee Scarberry Jr. of St. Albans, W.Va., and Faron Lee Scarberry of Riner, Va.; brothers, Charles Scarberry, James Scarberry, Clifford Scarberry, Leon Scarberry and Frank Scarberry, all of South Charleston; sisters, Lora Meeks, Stella Canterbury, Clara Welker, all of South Charleston, Bertha Hayes of St. Albans, Alice Scarberry of Dunbar, W.Va., and Doris Williams of Nitro, W.Va.; and six grandchildren.
Services were held Monday in Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, W.Va. Burial was in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
