RICHARD JACK WHITE

Richard Norman ``Jack'' White, 63, formerly of Portsmouth, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 1997, in Roanoke.

A native of Jackhorn, Ky., Mr. White was retired from the Portsmouth Fire Department. He was a member of Botetourt Church of Christ and a past member of West Park Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn B. White; two daughters, Terrie L. Pope and Jackie M. O'Neal of Portsmouth; a son, Rick H. White of Danville, Va.; three sisters, Maxine L. Price of Little Rock, Ark., Hazel L. Taylor of Vienna, Va., Norma L. Garrenton of Portsmouth; three brothers, Albert White, Robert H. White Jr., both of Portsmouth, David A. White of Suffolk; two grandchildren, Courtney R. Pope and Richard Ryan White.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by Mr. Keith Lewis and Mr. Ray Murphy. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and other times at 207 Lewis Road, Portsmouth. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
