FLORA V. BLACK

Evangelist Flora Virginia Black of the 2600 block of Beachmont Ave. died Aug. 11, 1997, in a local hospital.

An insurance agent for Universal Life Insurance Co., she was a Norfolk native and a member of New Jerusalem Church, Portsmouth.

Survivors include her husband, Hubert Black; daughter, Beverly Black Rainey of Virginia Beach; son, Hubert Black Jr. of Pisa, Italy; two sisters, Ethel Preston of New York City and Patricia Winfield of Norfolk; and three grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, Charity W. McCaffity and Luther McCaffity.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Bethlehem Church of Christ Disciples by the Rev. Felton Whitfield. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Friends may join the family at the residence. Graves Funeral Home is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
