Daisy Mae Dickerson, 80, died Thursday, Aug. 14, 1997, after a long illness. Born in Nansemond County, she had lived in Hampton since 1939 and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post 3219.
Survivors include two daughters, Stella Earhart and Patsy Cole, both of Hampton; seven grandchildren, Carolyn Davison, Harold Earhart, Isidore Earhart, Kathleen Kohlman, Isabel Earhart, Audrey Smith and Arthur Cole Jr.; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jack Harrell and the Rev. Robert Harrell. Burial will follow in the Hampton section of Hampton National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home, during which there will be a V.F.W.
