ESTELLE B. JOYNER

Estelle Briggs Joyner, 81, died Monday Aug. 18, 1997.

She was the widow of Thomas N. Joyner, a homemaker and a former resident of Hampton. She was a member of Riverdale Baptist Church, Hampton. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Joyner Hedrick.

Mrs. Joyner is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary Thomas Joyner and his wife, Diane, of Mechanicsville, David Robert Joyner and his wife, Rebecca, of Virginia Beach; a sister, Dorothy Wylie of Smithfield; seven grandchildren, Pamela Orsini, Dana and Chris Hedrick, Jennifer and Allyson Joyner and Katherine and Avery Joyner; as well as a great-grandchild, Grayson Orsini.

A graveside funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Don Sheffield in Hampton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. in Lawrence B. Wood Funeral Home, Hampton. Memorial donations may be made to the Riverdale Baptist Church or the Alzheimers Association. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
