Rosa C. Mitchell, 68, of the 3800 block of Greenwood Drive, died Aug. 22, 1997, in a local hospital.
A native of Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late Gladys Scott Sumler and David Cornish. She retired in 1984 from the Naval Supply Center as a computer specialist. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Berkley.
Survivors include three cousins, Willie A. Scott Jr. of New York, Sidney L. Holmes Sr. of Virginia Beach, Velma H. Neal of Chesapeake; and their children.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in First Baptist Church, Berkley, by the Rev. William D. Tyree III. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. the morning of the service. The family will receive friends at 2409 Crown Court, Chesapeake, and will assemble there for the procession to the church.
