Sophie Pajak Wozlek, 77, of the 700 block of Bottino Lane, died Aug. 25, 1997, in a local hospital after a lengthy illness.
A native of Poland, she was born April 5, 1920, and naturalized as an American citizen May 1, 1970. She was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church.
She is survived by her son, Dan Wozlek of Virginia Beach; two daughters, Cecilia Wozlek and her husband, Jay Casper, of Virginia Beach and Monica Wozlek and her companion, Tim Burkett, of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren, Jason Casper, Adam Casper, Sarah Wozlek, Sheri Wozlek and Samantha Casey Wozlek, all of Virginia Beach; and several sisters, nieces and family in Poland.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday in Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel. A funeral mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hampton National Cemetery. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
