ALMA R. HOLLAND

Alma Roberts Holland, 78, of the 4900 block of Clintwood Drive died Aug. 27, 1997, in a local hospital.

A native of Robeson County, N.C., she was the widow of Patrick H. Holland Jr. and a member of Churchland Baptist Church. She was a member of Westwood Garden Club; life member of Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs; United Daghters of the Confederacy; Scottish Rite Ladies and an avid bridge player.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Powell Trent of Fredericksburg, Va.; two sons, C. Roger Holland of Portsmouth and Patrick H. Holland III of Fredericksburg; sister, Helen Roberts Taylor of Lumberton, N.C.; brother, James Webb Roberts of Lumberton; six grandchildren, Stephanie, Christina, Smith, Kenneth, Patrick and Deborah; and four great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday by Dr. R. Clint Hopkins in Churchland Baptist Church. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
