REDENTOR B. MONTON

Master Chief Electrician's Mate (Surface Warfare) Redentor Baylen Monton, USN, 43, of the 1000 block of Northvale Drive, died Aug. 25, 1997.

Born April 14, 1954, in the Republic of the Philippines, he was the son of the late Wenceslao Monton. He was a Catholic.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Teresa Monton of the home; two daughters, Tanya M. Monton and Samantha F. Monton; two sons, Christopher J. Monton and Dennis J. Monton, all of the home; his mother, Lualhati Baylen Monton of Iselin, N.J.; three sisters, Cynthia Bustamante of Laurel, Md., Agnes Fernandez of Los Angeles, Calif., and Air Force Staff Sergeant Catherine Vazquez of Iselin, N.J.; and a brother, Arturo Monton of Los Angeles, Calif.

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated noon Saturday in Our Lady of Victory Chapel, Naval Station Norfolk, (inside Gate 2 off Hampton Blvd.) with Chaplain Scordo officiating. Burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of Victory Chapel.
