David Nathaniel McKenzie of the 1000 block of Watson St., died Aug. 25, 1997 in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Born in Dillon, S.C., he retired as a machinist after 41 years with Lone Star Cement Co., Chesapeake. He was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Berkley, and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Masonic Order, Improved Lodge No. 192, Patron of Dorcas Chapter No. 50, Order of the Eastern Star, and of the Berkley Elks Lodge No. 12, I.B.P.O.E. of W. of Norfolk.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn McKenzie; two stepdaughters, Gail Alexander of Petersburg and Phyllis Daniels of Silver Spring, Md.; a brother, Theodore McKenzie of N.C.; a grandson, David Daniels of Silver Spring; and many other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Berkley, Norfolk, by the Rev. Dr. I. Joseph Williams. Burial will take place in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Fitchett Funeral Home is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
