LONG H. GOFFIGON

Long Haley Goffigon, 76, of Oakland Farm, died Aug. 27, 1997, in his residence.

A retired farmer, he was the son of the late Kemper Goffigon Jr. and the late Fannie Cooke Goffigon. He was a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and S.U. He was a member of Holmes Presbyterian Church and served as an elder.

Survivors include his wife, Dale Jones Goffigon; three daughters, Dale Goffigon Gould and her husband, James, of Greenwich, Conn., Reginia Cooke Goffigon of Cherrystone, Va., and Haley Goffigon of Charlottesville; two brothers, Kemper Goffigon III and F. Cooke Goffigon, both of Cape Charles; and two grandchildren, Pinkney and Thea Gould of Greenwich.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Cape Charles Cemetery by the Rev. Dr. Anthony W. Dick Jr. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Care of the Eastern Shore, P.O. Box 334, Onancock, Va. 23417 or to the Cape Charles Rescue Service, 425 Mason Ave., Cape Charles, Va. 23310. Wilkins-Doughty Funeral Home, Cape Charles, is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
