A 29-year-old Virginia Beach man has been arrested and charged with sodomizing a 7-year-old boy, police said Monday.
Linwood Dale Whitehurst, of the 700 block of 16th St., was arrested Monday in connection with the Aug. 21 incident.
The boy had described his attacker, which led police to arrest Whitehurst at about 7:30 p.m. Monday outside a Virginia Beach convenience store.
Whitehurst, who is charged with forcible sodomy and aggravated sexual battery, is being held without bond at the Virginia Beach Correctional Facility, police said. KEYWORDS: SEX CRIME CHILD MOLESTATION CHILD MOLESTER CHILD
