Chisholm belongs to the Bow Creek Seniors Association, which he helped start. He plays regularly with a foursome - Al Twine, Marvin Meadows and Monroe Osmond - that travels around the area using the VSGA and Lung Association discount golf cards.
Age: 81
Occupation: Retired; former purchasing agent for local restaurant equipment firm.
Handicap: 24
Favorite course: Bow Creek; you have to hit straight shots now that new water hazards come into play. Also only 15 minutes from my home in King's Grant.
Lowest score: 81 at Honey Bee.
Clubs: Acer metal woods; Wilson staff goose neck irons.
Shot I dread the most: Chip shot over a green-side bunker to a narrow green.
My dream foursome: Peter Jacobson, Fuzzy Zoeller, Jack Lemmon and me.
Biggest golf gripe: Duffers who watch too much pro golf and mark each putt instead of tapping in and moving on.
Most memorable shot: Hole-in-one at Bow Creek on the 130-yard 14th. I used a 6-iron.
Funniest thing I ever saw on the course: Playing over a short par 3 at Honey Bee in the rain, my club slipped out of my hand and landed in the middle of the pond and the ball landed in the middle of the green. The club is still missing. ILLUSTRATION: Color photo
