HAROLD D. STROUP

Harold David Stroup, 64, formerly of Chesapeake, died Sept. 1, 1997, at his home in Kitty Hawk, N.C.

A native of Sheridan, Wyo., he was employed at Joe Lamb Realty and Beacon Motel. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Ramona Barnes Stroup; his mother, Margaret Stroup of Sheridan, Wyo.; a stepson, Donald Maiorana and his wife, Laura, of Chesapeake; two sisters, Dorothy Shreve of Sheridan and Alice Fisher of Washington; three brothers, Jack Stroup and Ray Stroup, both of Sheridan, and Frank Stroup of Gillette, Wyo.; two grandchildren, Charlie and Anthony Maiorana; and two great-grandchildren, Lindsey and Grant.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Riverside Memorial Park by the Rev. Amos Eby and Mr. Tommy Sullivan. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
