Lewis Hall Codd Jr., 61, of the 5200 block of Johnson Ave., died Aug. 24, 1997, in his residence.
Mr. Codd was a native of Miami, Fla., and a retired private investigator. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a member of American Legion Post (NU)310, Portsmouth, VFW Post (NU)392, Virginia Beach, and served as chaplain of the 2nd District of Virginia, Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States.
He is survived by his mother, Jeanette Yates Tyndall of Lakeland, Fla. and was predeceased by his father, Lewis Hall Codd Sr.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Tom Potter. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
