John Frank ``Bud'' Swain Jr. of the 600 block of E. Princess Anne Road, died Aug. 30, 1997, in a Houston, Texas, hospital.
He was a native of Norfolk and a Baptist.
Survivors include his mother, Bettie Collins and stepfather, James L. Collins of Norfolk; six sisters, Orian F. Toxey, Trina Gordon, both of Norfolk, Barbara A. Holmes, Sabrina Metoyer, Wanda D. Hurst and Crystal P. Swain, all of Houston; and a brother, William E. Logan of Norfolk.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Mission of Truth United Full Gospel Church by Pastor Janie M. Jernigan. Burial will be in St. Luke's Church Cemetery. The family will be at 678 E. Princess Anne Road, Norfolk, at 10 a.m. for the procession. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk, is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
