Roberta M. Long, 82, of the 800 block of Ingleside Road died Sept. 4, 1997, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
She was a native of Rocky Mount, N.C., and the daughter of the late Eddie and Lena Williams Malloy. She had retired after 15 years with the Dietary Department of Norfolk State University and fellowshipped at the Empower of Love Ministry, Chesapeake.
Survivors include her husband, Clary A. Long, of the home; a daughter, Irene Foreman; two sons, Ronald C. Foreman and Steven D. Foreman, both her grandsons and great-grandsons, whom she raised as sons; two sisters, Mary Spruill and Grace Lee; a brother, James Malloy; four grandchildren, Claren Anderson, Reginald Williams, Victor Robins and Mark A. Foreman; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Riddick Funeral Service, 1225 Norview Ave., by Pastor Angela Williams. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today.
