Harvey Fray Trainum, 69, died Sept. 6, 1997, in a local hospital.
Born in Louisa County, Va., he was a retired cable splicer for C&P Telephone. He was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Etta Wolfrey Trainum of Norfolk; a daughter, Barbara Denice Trainum Ward of Georgia; two sons, Lance G. Trainum and Kevin W. Trainum, both of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Euginea Bumpass of Mineral, Va. and Norma Peers of Gordonsville, Va.; three brothers, Burgess Trainum of Palmyra, Va., Brian Trainum of Gordonsville, Va., and Edgar Trainum of Louisa County, Va.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. John Marshall. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at their residence. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
