ERNEST W. ANDERSEN

Ernest W. Andersen, 91, formerly of Norfolk, died Sept. 8, 1997. He was predeceased by his wife, Mildred P. Andersen.

Mr. Andersen was a graduate of the University of Virginia and the University of New Hampshire. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Jane Andersen Jennings and Dr. C. Leon Jennings Jr. of Roanoke; four grandsons and their spouses, Charles Leon Jennings III and Karen K. Jennings of Los Angeles, Calif., William Andersen Jennings and Dr. Linda F. Jennings of Roanoke, Dr. Byron Lee Jennings and Dr. Kimberly W. Jennings of Salisbury, Md., Dr. Thomas Cox Jennings and Michelle M. Jennings of New York, N.Y.; and two great-grandchildren, Meredith Lee Jennings and George Tanner Jennings.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Wednesday in Oakey's Roanoke Chapel by the Rev. Charles H. Ward. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 2799, Roanoke, Va. 24001-2799, or Baptist Mission Centers Inc., 4516 Hazelridge Road, Roanoke, Va. 24012.
