LENNOX FEARS LEAKS

Lennox Industries Inc. is warning of possible carbon monoxide leaks in its Pulse furnaces installed before 1990. After some dealers reported corrosion in some Pulse furnace heat exchangers in units installed before 1990, Lennox said in April that it would pay its dealers to inspect the furnaces. Owners of older Pulse furnaces are urged to call the company's toll-free number, (800) 537-4341, for a furnace inspection and a safety check. Lennox will replace faulty heat exchangers at no cost or give the owner a $400 rebate on a new furnace. The company also is providing free carbon monoxide detectors as part of the program.
