STEVE A. MILLER SR.

Steve Andrew Miller Sr., 82, formerly of Appomattox Court, died Tuesday Sept. 9, 1997, in Hopewell Convalescent Center.

A U.S. Navy veteran, he was born in Ohio, and was a former resident of Portsmouth. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mary Grunda Miller; six brothers, Paul Jr., Dan, John, Joe, George, Louis; two sisters, Mary and Elizabeth. He was a retired millwright with Carpenters Local No. 388.

Surviving are a son, Steve A. Miller Jr. of Hopewell; three daughters, Debra Miller of Prince George, Carole A. Miller of King and Queen County, Marilyn Rowland of Portsmouth, Judith Harman of Chesapeake; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two sisters, Helen M. Burrow of Disputanta, Gertrude M. Bradshaw of Waverly; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Ann's Cemetery, Claremont. Memorial contributions may be made to the Social Events Committee at the Hopewell Convalescent Center, 905 Cousins Ave., Hopewell, Va. 23860. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
