Barbara Flowers Jones, 63, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, of the 500 block of Whispering Oak Circle, died Sept. 10, 1997.
Born in Portsmouth, she was the co-founder of Jones Printing Service, Chesapeake. She was a member of Elizabeth River Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Montague Jones Jr.; five sons, Clyde W. Jones of Virginia Beach, Bryan M. Jones, Harry A. Jones, Bruce E. Jones, and Charles T. Jones, all of Chesapeake; a sister, Vivian Hutcheson of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; three brothers, Paul M. Flowers of White Bluff, Tenn., Richard E. Flowers of Chesapeake and Joseph E. Flowers of Virginia Beach; 15 grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Frances Flowers of Chesapeake and Gale Flowers of White Bluff.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Elizabeth River Baptist Church by the Rev. J.D. Seward and the Rev. Charles H. Riggs Sr. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at 1112 Kimberly Court, Chesapeake. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
