RONALD G. SPANGLER SR.

Ronald G. Spangler Sr., 75, died Sept. 12, 1997, in his residence.

Born in Rich Creek, Va., he was a boilermaker retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Mr. Spangler was a member of Oaklette United Methodist Church, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and member of Doric Masonic Lodge No. 44 where he was past master of the lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian T. Spangler; a son, Ronald G. Spangler Jr. of Chesapeake; two brothers, Powell Spangler of Norfolk and Dewey H. Spangler Jr. of Ballard, W.Va.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Sebert W. Rorrer. Masonic Rites will also be accorded at the graveside. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Oaklette United Methodist Church, 520 Oaklette Drive, Chesapeake, Va. 23464. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
