Police seek clues in shooting death of 24-year-old man
Police are seeking clues in the shooting death of a 24-year-old man late Friday.
The body of Kenneth L. Boone of the 3100 block of Vincent Ave. was found in the 3100 block of Verdun Ave. when paramedics and police were called there at 9:36 p.m., police said.
Boone died a short time later at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. His body was sent to the State Medical Examiner's office.
Police have no suspects and lack any motive in the killing. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Line at 664-4040.
Suspect sought in killing of woman found dead Jan. 11
Police are searching for a 35-year-old man in connection with the slaying of a 57-year-old woman found dead in her Huntersville home Jan. 11.
Emma Finney-Carter, who lived alone in the 700 block of Johnson Ave., was found dead after relatives became concerned about her.
Arrest warrants charging him with murder have been filed against Wilson O. Rogers, whose last known address was in the 700 block of Washington Ave.
Rogers is black, with a medium complexion, about 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds.
