Kerry Lee Day, 43, of the 1500 block of Spruce St., slipped away Sept. 11, 1997, in his residence.
He was a Norfolk native and the son of the late Evelyn Delores Day. He was well-known for his sweet spirit and giving heart. He never met a stranger.
We were all given unconditional love by Kerry.
Survivors include four sisters, Cynthia Day Bell of Lithonia, Ga., Rose Crystal of Norfolk, Val Jean of Chesapeake, Evelyn Teresa Day of Norfolk; a brother, William Day of Norfolk; several nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Rehoboth Church, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Horace Pratt, pastor, and with the Rev. Joseph Lassiter officiating. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. A wake service will be held at Metropolitan Funeral Service from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday. Family and friends will assemble at 1531 Spruce St., Norfolk, at 1 p.m. Tuesday for the procession to the church. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
