Leonard Alvin Beahm Jr., 81, formerly of Portsmouth, died Sept. 14, 1997, in Elizabeth City, N.C.
He was the widower of Thelma Strickland Beahm and a native of Lynchburg, Va. He was a retired automobile mechanic and a member of Jarvisburg Church of Christ, Prentis Park and Fellowship Masonic Lodge (NU)148 in Portsmouth.
Survivors include his daughters, Christine Hilton of Powells Point and Shirley Ray of Carthage, Tenn.; sister, Rebecca Bryan of Ocala, Fla.; a half-sister, Dorothy McGann of Bedford, Va.; a brother, Benjamin S. Beahm of Buckingham, Va.; five grandsons and a great-grandson.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Dennis Crehan in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. Viewing will be from 7 to 8 tonight in the funeral home. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
