Woodrow W. ``Woody'' Edwards, 81, died Sept. 15, 1997, in his residence.
Born in North Carolina, he was the widower of Minnie R. Edwards. He was a retired car salesman and a member of Virginia Beach Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ann Gore of Richmond; three sons, Woodrow W. ``Buck'' Edwards Jr. and Tommy Edwards, both of North Carolina, and Charles Edwards of Virginia Beach; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Eva Gardner.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Virginia Beach Freewill Baptist Church by Pastor J.D. Norris. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. Memorials may be made to Virginia Beach Freewill Baptist Church, 210 S.
