A hearing for two brothers charged in the slaying of cinema manager Mark E. Pickrel has been delayed so a third brother, who has confessed and agreed to testify against them, can be returned to the area, according to information that came out in court Tuesday.
The hearing for Tracy Marron, 15, and Travis Marron, 16, scheduled for Tuesday in Juvenile Court, has been pushed back to Oct. 21. Authorities will leave Monday to pick up Richard Wallace Marron II, 18, in Ripley County, Ind., where he is being held.
Richard Marron was arrested Thursday by Indiana State Police after people who overheard him making suspicious statements called police. Authorities found out that he was wanted in Virginia on capital murder, robbery and firearms charges.
Tracy Marron is charged with accessory after the fact to capital murder and receiving stolen property. Travis Marron is charged with capital murder, robbery and two firearms violations. Prosecutors had planned to try Tracy and have Travis' case moved to adult court during Tuesday's hearing. Both youths are being held in the Tidewater Detention Home.
Pickrel, 29, was dragged from his home in the 4400 block of Deborah Court in Western Branch on June 26, taken to a wooded area a few miles away, and shot to death, police said. Pickrel was the manager of Cinemark Movies 10 near Chesapeake Square. KEYWORDS: HEARING MURDER
